Chitungwiza Municipality has issued a stern public notice, dated May 7, 2025, targeting vendors, commuters, driving schools, and transport operators, warning against illegal operations across the town. The council has directed all vendors operating in undesignated areas to vacate immediately, with enforcement teams set to confiscate goods and take legal action against defaulters.
Transport operators picking up passengers at undesignated points, as well as those failing to display valid rank discs or permits, will also face penalties. Owners of abandoned vehicles at public termini have been given a 7-day ultimatum to clear them or face removal at their own cost.

Driving schools and delivery vehicle operators were reminded to renew operating and delivery permits, with non-compliance attracting fines and possible suspension of operations. Acting Town Clerk Mr. J. Nemuseso appealed for cooperation, emphasizing that the crackdown aims to restore order and improve service delivery in Chitungwiza.
