
In a thrilling finale at Chibuku Stadium, Ramah Academy were crowned champions of the CJFDL/Love Zimbabwe Under 18 Tournament after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over a resilient Ruponeso Academy. The exciting match, which showcased the best of youth football talent, saw both teams display exceptional skill and determination.
The decisive goal came in the second half, securing the trophy for Ramah Academy and capping off a dominant tournament performance. Ruponeso Academy, despite the loss, put up a spirited fight and were worthy finalists.



In the third-place playoff, Marisa Juniors clinched the bronze medal after defeating Seke North.
The tournament, which was generously sponsored by Love Zimbabwe, was more than just a sporting event. It also served as a spiritual gathering, with various preachers taking the opportunity to share the word of God with the players and spectators alike. This unique blend of sport and faith created a positive and uplifting atmosphere throughout the event.
Individual accolades for standout performances were awarded as follows:
Player of the Tournament: Gift Matende (Ramah Academy)
Top Goal Scorer: Gift Matende (Ramah Academy)
Keeper of the Tournament: Macdonald Madzonga (Ruponeso Academy)
Ramah Academy and Ruponeso Academy will now advance to the next stage of competition, as they have qualified for the Love Zimbabwe Provincial Under 18 Tournament. The provincial tournament is scheduled to take place on September 20 at Zimbabwe Grounds, where the two academies will once again test their skills against the province’s best.
