Chitungwiza-born hip-hop star Voltz JT has released a brand-new track titled Why Worry, accompanied by a visually striking music video directed by KMane Production and sound engineered by Zero53Music. The release comes hot on the heels of his last collaboration, Cannabis featuring Sane Wav, which was mixed and mastered by Nyasha Timbe.

The new single showcases Voltz JT’s evolving artistry, blending his signature ‘Jecha’ hip-hop style with a fresh, soulful edge. The video, styled with an “old money” aesthetic, complements the mellow yet powerful sound as Voltz weaves a heartfelt story of love and reassurance. Known for embedding everyday ghetto realities in his music while promoting positive lifestyles free from drug abuse, the artist delivers a matured and soulful take on urban hip-hop that speaks both to the heart and the streets.

Voltz JT, real name Nkosinathi Sibiya, was born on March 19, 1999, and has grown into one of Zimbabwe’s most celebrated hip-hop voices since launching his career in 2016. With two studio albums under his belt—Life of Muvhimi (2022) and N.O.P Makoni (2024)—he has already made history. His second album earned him the Album of the Year award at the National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA), becoming the first hip-hop project to ever claim the prestigious honor. With Why Worry, Voltz JT continues to cement his legacy as one of Zimbabwe’s brightest musical talents.
