Hundreds of netball enthusiast who thronged Chitungwiza Aquatic Complex this Saturday were treated to non stop netball fun and entertainment as the Chitungwiza Social Heart Netball League entered match day 4

The excitement was felt off and in field as fans cheered up their teams.

Of the ten exciting encounters that were played the biggest winners were YW4ED who posted their first win of the season with a 17 – 13 win over Kwim.

High-flying Chitungwiza Council Netball Club continued their dominance with wins over Kingdom and Super Angels, solidifying their top position in the league. St. Mary’s-based Smallstones were unable to break the deadlock, resulting in a 16-all draw with the stubborn Five Stars.

The Catholic-based St. Agnes continued to struggle, suffering a 2-36 defeat to Kafera. United Vipers narrowly won 21-20 in a closely contested match against Chitungwiza Queens.

The Interim League Chairperson Mr Dovi expressed his satisfaction wth the league activities.

We are quite happy with the progress so far and our wish is to create a platform for girls and women in the community to converge, network, share ideas and at the same time showcase their talent in netball“, said Mr Dovi

The social league is comprised of 14 teams mostly from the community of Chitungwiza and is in the process of regulating their status with relevant netball governing bodies in the country.
